The NZ Herald has published an article about Green Party MP, Jeanette Fitzsimons’ meeting with Richard Gage, of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, on the 21st, that cited misleading quotes related to the 9/11 truth movement, from a student called Matthew Dentith. Dentith, who is at Auckland University, writing his doctorate on conspiracy theories, was quoted as saying that Fitzsimons’ meeting with Gage had been “naive,” and that it would “add credibility to groups with fringe and anti-semitic agendas.”
As is typical for the mainstream media, it portrayed a deluded perception of the 9/11 truth movement, and concealed its true make-up, which in no way is “fringe.” Contrary to the picture Dentith has painted, there are now thousands of credible individuals, including intelligence professionals, military leaders, and legal scholars, and scientists, who have all publicly questioned the official fable of 9/11, as there have been numerous polls conducted since the attacks of 9/11, which have shown that a vast majority of Americans do not believe the official story of 9/11.
On the 22nd of November, Dentith, who states on his CV that he specialises in critical thinking, was unapologetic about his comments to the NZHerald. He wrote in a blog: “I am not concerned at the tone of the piece; had it been longer it would likely have featured more clarification from me, but the gist would not have changed.” He also advised he told the reporter that “the 9/11 Truth Conspiracy Theories sometimes dovetail with Anti-semiticism,” which he claims he brought up because of comments Gage made about Larry Silverstein.
In March this year, Jon Eisen, the editor of the New Zealand-based Uncensored Magazine, which has exposed the truth about 9/11, was falsely accused of being anti-semitic also, and his accuser, who operates the ReadTheMaps blog, went so far as to try and have a symposium he was organising shut down. As Eisen pointed out, there was no way he could be anti-semitic, as he is Jewish himself.
If Dentith, who is also quoted as saying “all the 9/11 conspiracies collapse when prodded,” is genuinely interested in critical thinking and conspiracy theories, and not just another dime-a-dozen 9/11-truth debunker, engaging in character slurs and disseminating propaganda, why does he not refute the claims Richard Gage and the 9/11 truth movement make, and argue on points of evidence? I challenge him to.
